And to think, there’s even more good news from Lake Elsinore!
After the Storm walloped Inland Empire 9-1, including big contributions from several key prospects, they were assigned San Diego’s top prospect, outfielder Jaff Decker.
Decker, 20, batted .299/.442/.514 in Low-A last year, and appeared on milb.com’s Top 50 prospects. I ranked him in the top 15 last year.
Decker missed time with a strained right hamstring suffered during spring training. His recovery was pretty slow, but it’s great news that the great hitter will finally be unleashed in the great hitter’s environment of the Cal League.
Hopefully, he quickly makes up for lost time.
