Latos struggles in loss to White Sox

Mat Latos has not looked good this spring, and tonight’s outing against the White Sox did not go well either. He allowed the first three batters in the game to score. He battled through the next 3 innings without giving up a run and in the 5th inning he left the bases loaded with no outs. Ernesto Freiri came into the game with the bases loaded and saved Latos from more damage. He struck out 2 and forced a soft liner to short in order to sneak out of the inning without giving up a run.

Randy Flores was hit hard in the 8th inning. He gave up a home run to Greg Paimi and allowed 4 runs to take the loss.

The offense was led by Orlando Hudson who doubled and singled in the game. Aaron Cunningham and Nick Hundley both had 2 hits in the game.
