Game 1 of 2: We get 18 innings to try and score some runs

Last game, the Padres got 10 innings to try and score a run and failed. Today we have 18 innings scheduled and we better be looking to score runs throughout all of those innings. It is disheartening to go through 10 innings and held to NOTHING.

The lineup will have Will Venable trying to set the table again and Jason Bartlett is back as the number 2 hitter. Headley is one of the hotter hitters on the team and will bat clean-up. Hopefully one of the speedy guys ahead of him can get on base to score some runs. Ryan Ludwick and Brad Hawpe will be batting back-to-back in the lineup to give the opposing pitcher a pair of strikeouts.

Dustin Moseley might be working on his swing as well since the team can’t find a way to bring him in any runs. The offense has given him a total of ZERO runs in his three starts to give him a 0-3 record on the season to go with his sweet 1.83 ERA.
