Can We Play Every Game on the Road?

Have you seen some of the splits for our players? Some of the guys on the team have not found their hitting stroke in PETCO Park. Jason Bartlett is batting .329 with 12 RBI on the road and .164 with 3 RBI at home, Cameron Maybin batting .333 with 4 HRs on the road and .213 with 1 HR at home, and Ryan Ludwick is batting .282 on the road and .158 at home. There are some HUGE gaps in those numbers!

The team is on the road and hitting real well right now, BUT tomorrow the team will return home and have to deal with our huge ballpark. The confidence will need to carry over from the hitter-friendly parks of Arizona and Colorado to keep this offensive assault rolling! The offensive charge is what is leading the team winning ballgame and it is needed for us to succeed during the season.

Bring the offense home and the wins will come! We are no longer sitting in the cellar of the NL West, but we still need to keep moving forward to a .500 record and then look toward passing up the other teams in the division.
