Would you trade Bell or Adams for Chris Davis of Rangers?

Ken Rosenthal mentions a possible connection with Chris Davis to the Padres in his latest article on Fox Sports. The Rangers are desperate for some relief pitching and the Padres have had a plethora of relievers in the ‘pen. Heath Bell or Mike Adams would be the players that the Rangers would want to target to help their depleted bullpen.

Should we look into this trade?

Chris Davis is a 25 year old third/first baseman that has pop and bats from the left side. He would add to the young core that the team is trying to build. The question would be where does he play if we bring him onto the team? We have Chase Headley at third and Brad Hawpe at first. The simple answer would be first base, but we are grooming a top young talent in Triple-A named Anthony Rizzo to play first soon. Would that mean that we would have to find a new position for Chase Headley again?

If we decide to bring Davis on, we would definitely need to figure out what we do with these players. It has been nice seeing the offensive surge lately and adding more players to that mix would certainly be welcomed.

If we trade off Bell to make this thing happen, we could just slide everyone down in the back end of the bullpen and have Mike Adams close with Luke Gregerson setting up. Ernesto Freiri and Chad Qualls could share the 7th inning duty.

Another Ranger player that is a trade possibility is Julio Borbon who plays in the outfield and could bat leadoff for the Padres. He has a ton of speed and the Padres have been looking for someone to leadoff the whole season. He is a 25 year old lefty that could use that speed all around PETCO Park.

Would you trade Bell or Adams for any of these players?
