Padres promote Jesus Guzman from Triple-A

The Padres designated corner infielder Jorge Cantu for assignment earlier in the day and the corresponding move has been announced:

The Padres will bring up Jesus Guzman from Triple-A to replace Cantu on the active roster and to take over his role on the team. Guzman will be the corner infielder and can also play the corner outfield spots and has shown a good bat on the farm.
