All These Pirates-Padres Comparisons, and Now They Trade For Luddy

There has been all kinds of comparisons to the Pirates of this year to the Padres of last year. Our Padres surprised the world and even Padres fans last year with the run we had trying to get into the playoffs. Around this time last year, we swung a trade to land OF Ryan Ludwick from the St. Louis Cardinals to try and help boost the offensive productivity of our club. Luddy came over and struggled with our team and we eventually missed out on the playoffs.

Now it is the Pirates turn to try and make some magic happen. They are bringing in Luddy to try and help their offense and hopefully he will be able to give them a little boost in production. As Padres fans, its hard not to root for a team like the Pirates. They are in the same boat as us and any chances that they get to make the playoffs, we will wish them the best.
