Padres to Recall Logan Forsythe; Parrino to DL

The Padres continue to make roster moves, this time recalling former first round pick Logan Forsythe from AAA Tucson. In order to clear a spot for Forsythe, the Padres will place infielder Andy Parrino on the 15-day disabled list, with a wrist injury.

Forsythe cut his teeth with the Padres last year, hitting .213, with no home runs in 62 games. Forsythe was playing a lot of shortstop for Tucson, a move which could allow the Padres to play Everth Cabrera at second. Forsythe had a triple-slash line of .259/.419//448 in 16 games with Tucson.

His on-base skills could come in handy at the top of the lineup, and he has the ability to play anywhere in the infield. Hopefully Bud Black will actually play Forsythe this time around.

NOTES: The Padres also signed outfielder Jorge Padilla, according to Zach Links of MLBtraderumors.com. Padilla is 31, and has playing in 29 MLB games, all with the 2009 Washington Nationals. He has 13 years of Minor League service under his belt, and will play at AAA Tucson.
