Light night for the Padres affiliates. Fort Wayne and Lake Elsinore are at the All-Star break, and Tucson had the night off. San Antonio and Eugene were the only teams in action tonight.

San Antonio 10(28-41), Corpus Christi 1: San Antonio scored 8 runs in the 3rd inning, and never looked back. Andrew Cashner continued his transformation into a starting pitcher, and looked dominant. He went 5 innings, and gave up just 1 run on 5 hits. He walked 0, and struck out 9. Nate Freiman continued his destruction on the Texas League, as he had 3 RBI’s — giving him 60 on the season, which leads all of Double A.

Eugene 3(3-1), Yakima 0: Yair Lopez had the big hit, a two-single to help the Em’s get on the board. 5 Emeralds combined on the shutout, and Ryan Kelly pitched the final two innings for his second save.
