San Antonio is at the All-Star break, but all the other affiliates were in action today. Let’s dive in to what is going on down on the farm!

Tucson 6 (27-52), Colorado Springs 4: Matt Clark slammed his 12th homer of the year, and Jedd Gyorko also had three hits. The T-Pads bullpen was able to hold an early lead, and Erik Hamren pitched the ninth for his 4th save of the year.

Lake Elsinore 5 (6-1), Inland Empire 3: Lake Elsinore continues to play great baseball in the second half of the season. INF Casey McElroy hit his 3rd homer for the Storm. McElroy is 14-28, with 3 HR’s and 5 RBI’s since being promoted. Burch Smith continued his solid work for the Storm, as he turned five innings of two-run ball.

Fort Wayne 3, (4-2), Lansing 2: Big-time comeback by the Tincaps, as they scored two in the bottom of the ninth for the win. Top prospect Austin Hedges tied the game with a homer, and Kyle Gaedele had the walk-off single. Hedges had three hits, and is hitting .273 this year. He has 6 homers as well.

Eugene 8 (7-5), Salem-Keizer 4: Eugene used a six run sixth inning to get the win. 2012 2nd Round Pick Jeremy Baltz went 2-5, with a pair of RBI’s, and Escondido’s own River Stevens also had two hits. Baltz is hitting a healthy .375, while Stevens is no slouch either, batting .341.
