Here is the “Daily Roundup,” Friars fans:

• Jamal Collier of MLB.com discussed Sean O’Sullivan’s return to the Padres after he was on paternity leave this past week.  San Diego’s starter was called back up to the regular roster on Thursday.

• Danny Knobler of CBS Sports.com is anxious for all of the “Biogenesis” nonsense to be over, and I completely agree.  I would rather the news be filled with pennant races, not positive drug tests and suspensions like Everth Cabrera’s.

• Upset by the lack of trades made before Wednesday’s deadline?  Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports sure is, and he shares his thoughts on why the event was so boring this year.
