Heath Bell walked into the visitor’s clubhouse at AT&T Park on Wednesday, and many of his young San Diego Padres teammates figured he was already long gone after the San Francisco Giants claimed him off waivers.

Here is the lineup that Buddy is trotting out there tonight looking to continue the streak and to beat down the Giants. Let’s go Timmy Stauff!

Heath Bell was placed on waivers a couple of days ago to see if we could get any trade interest from teams. The San Francisco Giants placed a claim on Bell to try and block the Arizona Diamondbacks from getting him and also because they need help in their bullpen.

Now the question is what do the Padres do with this situation? They can try and work a trade out with the Giants and take some of their prospects OR we can just pull a Randy Myers and let the Giants take him. The Giants did the same thing last year when they claimed Cody Ross from the Marlins to block a possible deal for him to come here.

This will be interesting to see what happens with Heath Bell. Stay tuned to find out.
