]]> Chad Billingsley shut down the Padres offense, and another couple of errors cost San Diego early.  Billingsley went 8 1/3 innings before being yanked in the ninth after giving up a single to Cameron Maybin.  He had retired 15 straight batters before that, and the Dodger cruised to a 6-0 victory.

In total, the Padres managed just three hits against Billingsley, scored no runs, and struck out 11 times.  Not the way they wanted to start the season.  Matt Kemp seems to be continuing his MVP push as he went 2 for 4 with another couple of RBI.  Andre Ethier was 2 for 4 with 4 RBI.
